My dad has been in bad health for the last 10 years. He has had open heart surgery, an aneurism burst leading to an artificial aorta, existing blood clots in his neck and legs, a hernia that is inoperable due to his bad health, high blood pressure and diabetes requiring insulin. He suffered a mild stroke last year causing loss of peripheral vision and short term memory loss. Needless to say he feels miserable most of the time. If you had never met my dad and saw him you would say he seemed normal. His conditions show no outside damage and until you spent a couple of hours with him they may go unnoticed. What his family knows is much different. My dad seldom leaves the house and naps most of the days. He has given up his daytime fishing trips he always looked forward to. We have tried so many treatments and medicine dosage changes to help him but nothing seemed to work.
When I became affiliated with Evolv the first person I thought of was my dad. I loaded up a case of water and took it straight to his house. I asked him to drink two bottles a day and I would check back with him at the end of the week. He drank one bottle while I was visiting and said “I feel something happening in my body”. I winked at him and said let’s give it this week and see what changes we notice. I loved that he felt it immediately! He has been drinking Evolv now for 4 weeks and you can not imagine the difference in him. He has gone out to dinner 3 or 4 times and joined his old dinner group an hour away for a get together. He is engaging in conversation and seems awakened! Last week my mom and I almost fell over when we learned he had gone to the barber “alone” to get a hair cut. These ventures may seem small to some, but to us it is amazing.
I know my dad’s many health conditions are irreversible. My goal at this point is not to focus on what has happened but what is happening. Anything that can bring my dad hours in a day that put him in the moment is worth the world to us. I can promise that as much as we want to share Evolv with him, he does not go a day without drinking his bottle of Evolv for himself.
